Blanche (Bonnie) Estelle Spencer, Nancy’s Paternal Grandmother, had golden curls, a clever mind, and a spark, and used her talents to make the best of her life at the turn-of-the-century in southern Illinois in 1900. As a young adult, she went to Oklahoma City to make hats for the 1910 Oklahoma State Fair Opening Night Horse Show/Hat  Show.  She found the love of her life, and her life’s calling on the dusty prairies of Wild West Oklahoma.
