The Bonnet Book
Blanche (Bonnie) Estelle Spencer, Nancy’s Paternal Grandmother, had golden curls, a clever mind, and a spark, and used her talents to make the best of her life at the turn-of-the-century in southern Illinois in 1900. As a young adult, she went to Oklahoma City to make hats for the 1910 Oklahoma State Fair Opening Night Horse Show/Hat Show. She found the love of her life, and her life’s calling on the dusty prairies of Wild West Oklahoma.
Nancy Hardesty was soccer mom to more than 60 adolescent boys on four soccer teams for eight years. Nancy documented the entire eight years in a lively autobiography which is in the final stages of development. She is currently requesting feedback from the 60+ former soccer players for another section of this book.
